After we’ve seen that the 8 period EMA is below the 34; and price is trading below both Moving Averages, indicating to me that the trend is clean, strong, and one-sided moving further lower – I will look to open short positions on the 5-minute chart, and I will do this with the 8 period EMA.
Each time price crosses below the 8 period EMA, I have another opportunity to open up a short position.

It can be less expensive to buy two or three smaller policies for different years of coverage than buying one large policy. The only way to find out is to get quotes. NerdWallet’s life insurance comparison tool can help you determine how much coverage you need and compare prices.
“Most younger investors don’t have $10,000 sitting around,” says Mathew Dahlberg, a financial planner and owner of Main Street Investments in Kansas City, Missouri. Even 10 grand would be light for this approach. He usually doesn’t advise building a bond ladder with less than $100,000.
However, a family’s needs can diminish over time. “Furthermore, as a family’s asset base grows, the need for life insurance typically is reduced,” Tilp says.
A less-well-known strategy is building a life insurance ladder. Instead of buying one large term life policy, you get life insurance quotes for two or more smaller policies of different lengths. The goal is to match coverage more closely with your family’s needs in the event of your death. This strategy can save money on premiums while providing your loved ones with just the right amount of protection.
Instead of buying one policy, you could buy two or three. Say, for instance, you want coverage to replace income over 30 years and pay for college for your two kids. The ladder could look like this:

Student loans, credit-card balances, car loans, and mortgages—oh, my. You probably have a variety of debt—most people do. So which should you focus on paying off first? And how can you save at the same time? Of course, make sure to pay at least the minimum required—and on time—to keep all loans in good status.
Balancing paying off debt and saving can be tricky. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Paying down debt is important, but if your employer matches money you put into a 401(k) or 403(b), don't pass it up. Think of it as "free" money. Let's say your company matches 50 cents on every $1 you contribute, up to 3% of your salary. If you make $60,000 a year and contribute 3%, or $1,800, your company kicks in another $900. If you do that every year, in 10 years that $2,700 a year could grow to more than $37,000, assuming a hypothetical return of 7% per year.1
Quick tip: Check your credit card statement to see how long it will take you to pay off the balance—and how much it will cost you—if you make only the minimum payment.
Quick tip: Increasing your savings by just 1% each year could help you live the life you want in retirement. Aim to save at least 15% of your pre-tax income every year starting at age 25.
Quick tip: If you have federal student loans you may qualify for income-based repayment plans or public service loan forgiveness plans. If you don’t qualify for a loan forgiveness program, refinancing your loan could be a money-saving option.
Losing your job—or being hit with an unexpected expense—could force you into a financial hole, which may take years to climb out of. How much to set aside for an emergency depends on your situation. In general, three to six months of expenses is a good starting point. If you are single, or in a family with two working spouses, three months may be enough. But if you are a one-income family, you may want to have six months of expenses.
These loans have lower interest rates, and some offer tax benefits. That's why it generally makes sense to make only the minimum monthly payments on them. For instance, mortgage interest is deductible for federal tax purposes, and rates have been at historical lows, right now below 4% for a 30-year fixed loan. Car loans are about 3%. Government undergraduate student loans are currently around 4%, and the interest may be tax deductible.

The Open Door Policy of the PRC announced by Deng Xiao-ping at the end of 1978 marked a new era for Hong Kong’s economy. With the newly vigorous engagement of China in international trade and investment, Hong Kong’s integration with the mainland accelerated as it regained its traditional role as that country’s main provider of commercial and financial services. From 1978 to 1997, visible trade between Hong Kong and the PRC grew at an average rate of 28% per annum. At the same time, Hong Kong firms began to move their labor-intensive activities to the mainland to take advantage of cheaper labor. The integration of Hong Kong with the Pearl River delta in Guangdong is the most striking aspect of these trade and investment links. At the end of 1997, the cumulative value of Hong Kong’s direct investment in Guangdong was estimated at US$48 billion, accounting for almost 80% of the total foreign direct investment there. Hong Kong companies and joint ventures in Guangdong province employed about five million people. Most of these businesses were labor-intensive assembly for export, but from 1997 onward there has been increased investment in financial services, tourism and retail trade.
After being ceded by China to the British under the Treaty of Nanking in 1842, the colony of Hong Kong quickly became a regional center for financial and commercial services based particularly around the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank and merchant companies such as Jardine Matheson. In 1841 there were only 7500 Chinese inhabitants of Hong Kong and a handful of foreigners, but by 1859 the Chinese community was over 85,000 supplemented by about 1600 foreigners. The economy was closely linked to commercial activity, dominated by shipping, banking and merchant companies. Gradually there was increasing diversification to services and retail outlets to meet the needs of the local population, and also shipbuilding and maintenance linked to the presence of the British naval and merchant shipping. There was some industrial expansion in the nineteenth century; notably sugar refining, cement and ice factories among the foreign sector, alongside smaller-scale local workshop manufactures. The mainland territory of Hong Kong was ceded to British rule by two further treaties in this period; Kowloon in 1860 and the New Territories in 1898.
Hong Kong was profoundly affected by the disastrous events in Mainland China in the inter-war period. After overthrow of the dynastic system in 1911, the Kuomintang (KMT) took a decade to pull together a republican nation-state. The Great Depression and fluctuations in the international price of silver then disrupted China’s economic relations with the rest of the world in the 1930s. From 1937, China descended into the Sino-Japanese War. Two years after the end of World War II, the civil war between the KMT and Chinese Communist Party pushed China into a downward economic spiral. During this period, Hong Kong suffered from the slowdown in world trade and in China’s trade in particular. However, problems on the mainland also diverted business and entrepreneurs from Shanghai and other cities to the relative safety and stability of the British colonial port of Hong Kong.
The industrialization of Hong Kong is usually dated from the embargoes of the 1950s. Certainly, Hong Kong’s prosperity could no longer depend on the China trade in this decade. However, as seen above, industry emerged in the nineteenth century and it began to expand in the interwar period. Nevertheless, industrialization accelerated after 1945 with the inflow of refugees, entrepreneurs and capital fleeing the civil war on the mainland. The most prominent example is immigrants from Shanghai who created the cotton spinning industry in the colony. Hong Kong’s industry was founded in the textile sector in the 1950s before gradually diversifying in the 1960s to clothing, electronics, plastics and other labor-intensive production mainly for export.

Many people would like to work from home performing typing jobs but don't know how to find legitimate jobs online. There are a few things to remember when looking and applying for these jobs. In most cases, this is not a job in the traditional sense – you are considered an independent contractor and responsible for paying your own taxes. It also means you must provide your own equipment and work space. You may not always have access to work since the client decides how to distribute assignments. However, if you want to work from home and have good typing skills, this may be a good opportunity.
Transcription work consists of listening to audio tapes and typing exactly what you hear, according to company guidelines. Most transcription companies require you to own a foot pedal, which allows you to leave your hands free to type. Companies may also require transcription software that enables you to control the audio by hand so you can type more easily. Transcription works typically pays by the word or line.
Virtual assistants tend to have many duties, though a large portion of the work may be typing information into a company’s system. A virtual assistant may answer emails, take phone orders from customers, type correspondences or research information and type reports based on the findings. Virtual assistants need excellent typing and customer service skills.
Companies such as Virtual Bee and Great American Opportunities offer contractor positions to enter data into their online systems. These companies pay by the character, word, line or order. All you need are a computer system, access to the Internet and the ability to accurately type at least 60 words per minute. Great American Opportunities offers seasonal work; Virtual Bee provides work year round but the busiest time is during the tax season, from January to April.

How much you risk on a binary option trade should be a small percentage of your overall trading capital. How much you want to risk is up to you, but risking more 5% of your capital isn't recommended.
Making some quick cash is why many people attempt trading. Avoid this impulse though. Risking a lot on each trade is more likely to empty your trading account than create a windfall. Most new traders don't have a trading method they tested and practiced, and therefore have no idea if they are a good trader or not. Better to risk small amounts of capital on each binary options trade, to test your trading methods and hone your skill, and then gradually increase the amount you risk to 2% once consistent.
If wager $10 on a binary option trade, your maximum loss is $10. Some brokers offer a rebate on losing trades; 10% for example. If this is the case, your maximum is only $9, calculated as:
If you have a $3500 account, and you're risking 2% per trade, the maximum you want to lose is $70. If the broker offers no rebate on losing trades (this is the norm), then only risk up to $70 on the trade.

Weekly options are the same as monthly options except that they expire every Friday, not just on the Saturday after the 3rd Friday like monthly options.
The actual set of symbols that have weeklys available changes from week to week (per the CBOE). You can find the current week's list at CBOE's weekly options list, but if you use Born To Sell's weekly option screener then you don't have to remember any of that because we show all available weeklys to you, as they change week to week.
In the results table you will see the open interest for each option (and, like the other column headings, you can click on the Open Interest column heading to sort by open interest):

After that you will see new choices on the Expiration slider (weekly dates appear in red). The format is first letter of month followed by day of the month. eg. M2 means May 2nd expiration and M9 means May 9th expiration (the other positions on the Expiration slider, in white, are for monthly expirations):

To place a binary option trade, you’ll walk through three main steps:
Predictions like this aren’t the best strategy for most investors. We strongly recommend a portfolio of index funds for long-term goals like retirement. But if you have some extra cash and you want to ease into options trading, binary options contracts can be a decent way to do it.
You can also exit the trade early at some brokers, which will cut your losses if your prediction looks to be wrong, or lock in a profit if your prediction appears to be trending toward correct.
As with any investment, there are pros and cons, risks and rewards here. Binary options are marketed as a relatively low-risk trading strategy, but we’d treat it like gambling: Don’t put up more than you can afford to lose.
anti-martingale by Lauriston Livermore
I know shameless self-promotion when I see it and I have no intention of buying a subscription to their publication but just because they toot their own horn doesn't mean they aren't telling the truth. So what I'm wondering is:
I tried to search for background information on Weiss and Edelson but everything I found pointed straight back to one of the numerous websites they control. Even the Wikipedia article was under review for deletion because there was evidence it had been written by someone associated with the company and didn't meet Wikipedia’s guidelines for accuracy and verifiability.
I checked both links provided, and agree with the questioner in every way: These appear to be highly questionable investment research websites. I use such strong terms based on the fact that the website actually uses the distasteful pop-up ploy, "Are you SURE you want to leave this site?" Clearly, something changed between what Weiss Ratings was in the past (per company history since 1971) and what Martin Weiss is doing now.
This company was a reputable rating agency for many years. See Weiss Research website, ratings section for a very different perspective on Martin Weiss's work than the websites with which he is now associated.
Thank you for your interest in this question. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count). Would you like to answer one of these unanswered questions instead?
Weiss Ratings is an independent company providing data and analysis for the bank and insurance industries. We’ve published the Weiss Financial Strength Ratings for banking institutions and insurance companies since 1989 and continue to use the methodology praised by the GAO back in 1994. Weiss Ratings has consistently graded failed institutions in the lowest Weiss Rating tier at the time of failure. We invite you to look at the Weiss Ratings' track record.
The study methodology was good, but I recommend reading the article (I posted the URL) to fully understand what caveats and assumptions were done to reach that conclusion.
I've seen two advertisements for so-called "well known" financial analysts and reporters purporting to have inside information on grave threats to the economy. I visited the websites advertised in the commercials just to see what all the hype was about. It turned out both websites were sales pitches for high priced newsletters containing investment advice. Both were products of the same company, Weiss Research, Inc.
